L’Horta Sud is a Valencian region located south of the city of Valencia, made up of 20 municipalities such as Torrent, Manises, Mislata, and Aldaia. With over 480,000 residents, it is one of the most densely populated areas in the Valencian Community.
Although it doesn’t have an official capital, Torrent is the largest municipality, and the area is coordinated by the Intermunicipal Association, which manages shared services and local development.
Its economy is mainly driven by industry and services, although some traditional agricultural activity still remains.
Culturally, l’Horta Sud is rich and diverse, with museums, architectural and hydraulic heritage, and a strong craft tradition (ceramics in Manises, fan-making in Aldaia). Fallas and other local festivals are widely celebrated.
The area also includes natural spaces like the Albufera Natural Park and Turia Park, perfect for walking routes, rural tourism, and outdoor activities.
